The following is not a complete list of every source encountered but will give the reader a place to start should one wish to read original and derivative source materials.


“A Dutch Cooper’s Legacy: An Ouderkirk Story From 1660”, by Shirley E. Forth Shirley’s book is no longer in print. There has been one reprint to date. The publisher, Robert Stewart, can be contacted at robert@stewartbooks.com and he can add you to his list in case he does another reprint. I have several personal copies and there are copies at the Parry Sound, Huntsville, and Bracebridge libraries.

 

Baptismal and birth information was transcribed and translated by me from microfilm reels of the Kirchenbuch, 1677-1885, Schorrentin, borrowed from familysearch.org . I thank the people of the Facebook group Mecklenburg Germany Region Genealogy for all their assistance with this work.
