Ann Ollerton was a brick wall for many years. The marriage document recorded Ann as Hannah Hulton. I failed to locate any other records for a Hannah Hulton whose father was Matthew in this area of England. With the help of a fellow researcher, I *did* find records for an Ann Ollerton whose father was Matthew. Finally, through Ancestry DNA several cousins appeared and the link to them was through Ann Ollerton. Subsequently, I found birth records for Ann's children which named her as Ann Hollerton or Ann Ollerton. Other researchers and I have concluded that likely the name Ann Ollerton was misheard when the couple was filling in the paperwork for marriage. As Ann could not read or write, it is safe to assume she did not know that the error had been made.
